July Events

The Annual Legacy of Care Picnic will be on July 2 at 10:00 A.M. at Hanna Park, same place as last year.Featured will be kamayan with  "Low Country Boil". Volunteers will bring all the needed ingredients. The followingingredients are still needed:  crabs, potato, corn, fruits, plus anything else to match the main menu. We are asking that you RSVP if you are coming for a head count by phone or  text to 904 563-3989 or email to  legacyofcare@comcast.net.  If you choose to tell somebody, make sure that that somebody communicate toabove phone or email.

April Events

Thanks to all Golf Players who came to support Legacy of Care.As always, Bing Palisoc & Rhoda Palisoc took up the responsibility of organizing the golf tournament with 42 golfers despite scheduling conflicts with other groups.

Legacy of Care Volunteers came to support: Luis Jocson recruitedgolfers from the JSO/brought bananas/eggs for breakfast of volunteers, Oscar Zaragoza provided boiled eggs for Nelia Gonyer brought energy bars and cookies.  

Elvira brought breakfast for volunteers Albert Montemayor came to help with registration, Ophie Z assisted Rhoda  with counting  proceeds, Ophie C brought lunch for volunteers,Lolita Massengill gave moral support to volunteers and appreciation to players.Volunteers who supported by giving donations: Dr. Maymon Thint, Mirian Ellis, Minnie Pedroza, Irma Ancheta, Tonette Cuaresma,Nelia/Brad Gonyer, James/Lolita Massengill, Dan/Remy Emnas, Hermie/Paz David, Oscar/Ophie Zaragoza, Bing/Rhoda Palisoc,Rogenee Boyet, Alicia Macabasco.  

We have pledges which we have not collected yet.Hopefully, I have not forgotten anybody. Thank you, Volunteers!  And thank you, Bing for doing most of the work to get the tournament accomplished and successfully.Will let you know when we have the final count of funds we have made and also the names of golfers who have beensupporting us every year so that you can thank them for Legacy of Care.

We have now moved the clinic at 7307 North Main Street 32208.

 

Thanks to all Volunteers who have made it possible for Legacy of Care to move to its new location at 7307 North Main Street 32208.

1. Oscar & Ophie, Grace for making sure that Comcast installation was done.

2. Paz & Rogenee for sorting out supplies, appliances, equipments, etc at Banburyto facilitate easy transfer on Sept. 26 to the new address.

3. Dr. Bunyi/Grace & Kyle, Oscar/Ophie, Luis/Tess, Bing/Rhoda, Rogenee who brought Legacy of Care Patients (Lopez family,F. Chavit), Nerissa & Son, Brad/Nelia for helping out to move what we will need forour first clinic on October 10 at the new location. Thanks to Paz & Hermie for providing lunch for all of us at Sakura Buffet.

4. Oscar, Luis, & Bing for going back Sunday to hang the clinic sign on the door of the clinic.The sign on the service road will be hanged when the weather allows.

Those of you who have not seen the Clinic Signs, should take time to visit the new location for you to admire the printing and design done by Kristina Bunyi, the architect. 

Addendum:  Hope to have more volunteers on Oct. 3 for health screening during Filipino Pride Day at the Riverside Arts Market from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Let me know if you are coming to help andfor how many hours you can stay so that I can schedule.  If I don't hear from the Volunteers, I will have to recruit students. Those I know coming to help are Elvira, Paz, Rogenee, Ophie Z, but they will need relievers.
